Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Three years of related work experience.
  • Advanced degree or Professional License may substitute for two years of experience.
  • Experience in Accounting, Government Consulting, or similar role preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal accounting, auditing, and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research, compliance, auditing, and other Government Consulting tasks.
  • Perform diverse Government Consulting assignments and develop specialized expertise within specific contracts.
  • Identify and define business and technical needs.
  • Plan and coordinate Government Consulting work across multiple engagement teams.
  • Manage assignments within established time frames, scope, and budget constraints.
  • Direct and supervise Associates and Business Analysts.
  • Evaluate Associate and Business Analyst work and advise on revisions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key client personnel through timely, professional communication.
  • Deliver client presentations and direct client meetings.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate with engagement teams and supervisors.
  • Conduct research, identify and resolve problems.
  • Review firm reports for appropriate presentation and disclosures.
  • Use engagement and project-specific software and resources.
  • Lead engagement workstreams and coordinate multifaceted deliverable schedules.
  • Conduct secondary quality assurance reviews.
  • Instruct and deliver internal educational sessions.
  • Onboard and mentor Associate staff on compliance procedures and analytical methodologies.
  • Facilitate client discussions, status briefings, and training workshops.
  • Proactively identify regulatory risks and develop pragmatic compliance solutions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Experience in Accounting or CPA firm or professional services environment preferred
  • Prior experience in Accounting, Government Consulting, or similar role preferred
  • Deep knowledge of federal accounting, auditing, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience supporting Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) contracts
  • Ability to evaluate and rigorously review workpapers, financial reconciliations, compliance filings, and supporting documentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, Salesforce, Smartsheet, and Box
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets, synthesize findings, resolve discrepancies, and formulate data-driven recommendations
  • Ability to lead engagement workstreams and manage project timelines, deliverables, scope, and budgets
  • Ability to delegate assignments, conduct quality assurance reviews, identify development areas, and uphold deliverable standards
  • Ability to instruct, deliver educational sessions, onboard, and mentor Associate staff
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and compliance concepts clearly in written and verbal channels
  • Ability to facilitate client discussions, status briefings, and training workshops
  • Ability to identify regulatory risks, investigate emerging issues, and develop compliance solutions
  • Must pass a background check
