Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Medicaid Engagement Lead to guide consulting efforts in public health programs. You will oversee project plans, deliverables, and quality controls, while ensuring compliance and client satisfaction across engagements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; ASA designation preferred.
  • At least 5 years of related consulting experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide management on Medicaid public health consulting engagements.
  • Plan projects, evaluate operational performance, and manage deliverables.
  • Develop quality controls, procedures, and engagement tools.
  • Monitor compliance with professional standards and client satisfaction.
  • Develop subject matter expertise and recruit/retain staff as needed.
  • Represent the firm at conferences and cultivate client relationships.
  • Collaborate with teams on governance, contracts, and practice areas.

Job description

  • Lead and provide management on consulting engagements, specifically in Medicaid public health programs
  • Conduct project planning and evaluate operational performance
  • Oversee work plan functions, due dates, and preparation of deliverables
  • Develop quality controls and procedures
  • Monitor compliance with professional standards
  • Develop subject matter expertise
  • Develop engagement tools, resources, and reference materials
  • Analyze, review, interpret, and summarize detailed medical claims and enrollment data
  • Report on client- and state-specific requests
  • Collaborate with colleagues on team, contract, and practice-area management
  • Support and contribute to other engagements and teams
  • Cultivate new opportunities and services
  • Represent the firm at conferences, workshops, and industry events
  • Establish, develop, and monitor client relationships
  • Evaluate and ensure client satisfaction with work product
  • Recruit, develop, and retain staff
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of protected health information and other sensitive information
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) (preferred)
  • 5 years of related experience (preferred)
  • 3 years of supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with clients and internally at all levels of an organization (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills (preferred)
  • Ability to multitask with planning and efficiency (preferred)
  • Organized and detail oriented (preferred)
  • Ability to operate effectively and comfortably in a team‑oriented environment (preferred)
