- Prepare tax returns and complete working papers for assigned clients
- Review tax strategies, ensure tax compliance, and help improve post-tax profits
- Prepare tax returns for corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and non-profits
- Assist with ad hoc tax-related projects
- Resolve technical tax issues and respond to the IRS and other taxing authorities
- Guide Tax Interns in scanning and preparing tax returns
- Answer client calls and emails and provide solution-oriented service
- Complete client deliverables within expectations
- Identify and introduce other firm services based on client needs
- Assist with balance-sheet and income-statement testing and preparation/testing of financial statements and disclosures
- Review and audit business transaction cycles
- Visit client sites for required audits and financial inquiries
- Review audit issues and financial information using technology tools and research engines
- Prepare bookkeeping work papers, journal entries, financial statements, and business and individual tax returns
- Perform onsite client work as necessary
- Conduct self-review of work before submission
- Collaborate with engagement leaders and teams to improve efficiency and engagement management
- Keep current with local and national business and economic issues
- Participate in continuous learning and technical research
Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Graduating students should have 150 credit hours and a GPA of 3.0 or above
- Actively pursuing CPA licensure, if not already obtained
- Ability to work outside normal business hours and weekends as needed
- Ability to travel to local and non-local clients and events as needed
- Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds
