Job summary

Placer County is seeking a Manager level Auditor-Controller to plan, organize, and direct the activities of a division within the Auditor-Controller's Office. This role coordinates with other divisions and departments and provides staff assistance to the Auditor-Controller.

The position requires five years of professional accounting experience with two years in supervision, plus a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional accounting experience, including two (2) years of supervisory responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or related field.
• Possess valid driver’s license and required vehicle insurance/medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement division goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Plan, organize, and direct Countywide governmental accounting, reporting, and auditing activities of a division.
• Prepare complex financial reports; analyze financial information; update tax and financial records.
• Supervise staff; train, motivate, and evaluate performance; participate in budget preparation.
