Job summary

BDO USA in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Experienced Senior, Outsourced Finance & Accounting Associate to lead full-cycle general accounting for Government Contracting clients.

You will oversee GL, AP/AR, payroll, close processes, and ensure GAAP compliance while adhering to FAR, CAS, DCAA requirements. Collaboration with client teams and supervision of junior staff are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 3+ years of GovCon accounting experience.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Experience with government contractor ERP systems.
• Knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle general accounting for GovCon clients.
• Manage GL, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close with GAAP-compliant statements.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA and maintain DCAA-compliant systems.
• Assist with indirect cost structures, pricing, and project accounting.
• Guide Associates and train on GovCon tools.
