Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in federal government contracting.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance leadership experience.
• Experience managing full accounting cycle and financial reporting function.
• Experience with multiple entities, intercompany transactions, and consolidations.
• Extensive government contract accounting, indirect rates, DCAA requirements.
• Experience supporting DCAA audits, incurred cost submissions, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, GAAP and related gov contracting requirements.
• Experience with various contract types (cost-reimbursable, fixed-price, T&M).
• Proficiency with government contractor accounting systems and ERP platforms.
• Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis expertise.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets and close processes.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain GAAP compliance and robust internal controls.
• Oversee audits, tax reporting, and external financial reporting requirements.
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations across entities.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Provide financial oversight for program control, funding, burn rates, and profitability.
• Support pricing, proposals, and indirect rate development activities.
• Ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance across the GovCon environment.
