Axon in Boston is seeking an experienced IT Engineer who can own Google Workspace administration and drive cross‑functional IT initiatives. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, IT Engineering and requires hands‑on leadership to implement secure collaboration tools and automation across the organization.

The candidate will manage Drive governance, Gmail, DLP, Vault, domain migrations and SIEM integrations, while partnering with Security, Legal and People Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Google Workspace at scale with Drive, Gmail, DLP, Vault, and migrations.
• Strong identity and access management knowledge (SAML, OAuth, SCIM, RBAC).
• Hands-on Okta SSO integrations and workflow automation.
• Experience managing endpoint fleets via Jamf, Intune, or similar.
• Proficient in PowerShell, Bash, Python for automation.
• Familiarity with REST API integrations and automation.
• Ability to lead technical workstreams with minimal oversight.
• Strong written/verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Serve as technical owner and administrator for Google Workspace environment.
• Lead workspace initiatives, integrations, feature rollouts, workforce enablement.
• Manage Google Workspace across Drive, Gmail, DLP, migrations, Vault, and audits.
• Act as internal SME for Workspace integrations (Okta, Slack, SaaS connectors).
• Own escalated support for complex Google Workspace and collaboration issues.
• Identify opportunities to automate IT Engineering processes and systems.
• Architect and maintain automation using APIs and low-code platforms.
• Maintain platform health and KTLO across collaboration, identity, endpoint, and IT Eng.
• Document decisions, changes, and runbooks for knowledge sharing.
• Partner with stakeholders to meet security, compliance, and employee experience needs.
