Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Client Engineer to own the Google Enterprise environment, drive strategic initiatives, and lead automation efforts across IT Engineering. This hands-on IC role requires collaboration with Security, Legal, People Ops, and business teams to scale our collaboration stack.

The role is based in Boston with a hybrid schedule, onsite Tue-Fri and remote Mondays, offering growth, mentorship, and a mission to Protect Life.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of administrative experience with Google Enterprise / Google Workspace and adjacent enterprise-grade SaaS collaboration tools.
• Experience at scale: Drive governance, Gmail administration, DLP, domain migrations, Vault.
• Identity and access management concepts (SAML, OAuth, SCIM, RBAC, provisioning).
• Experience with Okta SSO and automation workflows.
• Experience managing endpoint fleets (Jamf, Intune, Tanium).
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, Python for automation.
• REST API integrations and automation.
• Ability to lead technical workstreams with minimal oversight.
• Clear, direct communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own and admin Axon's Google Workspace / Google Enterprise environment.
• Lead Google Workspace initiatives, integrations, feature rollouts, and tooling projects.
• Manage Google Workspace across Drive, Gmail, DLP, migrations, Vault, retention and eDiscovery.
• Serve as SME for Google Workspace integrations including Okta SSO, Slack, and third-party SaaS.
• Own escalated support for complex Google Workspace, collaboration, identity, endpoint, and SaaS issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve IT Engineering systems through automation and workflows.
• Architect and maintain automation using APIs, Okta Workflows, ServiceNow, Slack, scripting, low-code.
• Maintain platform health and KTLO across collaboration, identity, endpoint, IT Engineering.
• Document decisions and runbooks for knowledge sharing.
• Partner with stakeholders to meet business, security, compliance, and employee experience needs.
