Job summary
Soldier Hollow Golf Course at Utah State Parks is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent II to oversee 36 holes of maintenance and agronomic operations. You will lead a skilled team, manage staffing, safety, and budgets, and ensure top-tier playing conditions through expert turf and irrigation management.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of supervisory golf course experience and a degree in Turfgrass Management or related field.
Qualifications
- 5+ years supervisory golf course maintenance experience.
- Degree, certificate, or equivalent in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or Horticulture.
- Knowledge of irrigation, drainage, fertility, pest control and water management.
Responsibilities
- Direct all agronomic and maintenance operations for Soldier Hollow’s 36-hole facility.
- Lead and develop the golf course maintenance team while managing staffing, scheduling, safety, and performance.
- Maintain exceptional playing conditions through effective turf, irrigation, fertility, pest, and resource management.
- Manage maintenance budgets, equipment, course projects, and environmentally responsible practice.
