Job summary

Procore Technologies in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own a mission-critical document-rendering microservice, built with Go and backed by Postgres. You will transform a Rails monolith into a modular, scalable system and establish the patterns the team will follow.

You will collaborate with product, architecture, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliability, observability, and measurable business impact at scale.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional OOP experience with Go, Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS) with reliability and observability.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; Ruby on Rails is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and build a scalable document-rendering microservice using Go and Postgres.
• Evolve Rails monolith into a modular system with clear boundaries and interfaces.
• Define patterns and standards to improve reliability, maintainability, and velocity.
• Drive performance, resilience, observability, and cost-efficiency.
• Establish testing strategies (TDD), code reviews, and documentation.
