Job summary

Quicknode, a cloud-based blockchain infrastructure company, is seeking a senior contributor to design, build, and improve high-throughput Go and Rust services that power 80+ networks. You will own production Go and Rust components, drive architecture decisions, and raise reliability and performance standards.

The role involves end-to-end ownership, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with product, security, and DX teams to translate client needs into robust systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend or distributed systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Go and Rust with production experience.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, memory safety, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-throughput, low-latency backend services in Go and Rust for production blockchain infrastructure.
• Own production Go services and Rust components, including architecture, interfaces, and deployment.
• Architect distributed systems that ingest, process, and serve blockchain data with strong consistency and scalability.
• Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and establish engineering standards across teams.
• Profile and optimize production systems for throughput, latency, resilience and security.
