Job summary

QuickNode is seeking a senior software engineer to design and build high-throughput backend services in Go and Rust for our blockchain infrastructure. You will own production Go services and Rust components, shaping architecture, interfaces, and deployment strategies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend or distributed systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Go and Rust with production experience.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, memory safety, and databases.
• Experience with blockchain infrastructure or high-throughput APIs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-throughput, low-latency backend services and data-processing systems in Go and Rust.
• Own production Go services and Rust components, including architecture, interfaces, testing, and operation.
• Architect distributed systems for blockchain data ingestion, processing, and delivery with strong consistency and availability.
• Lead end-to-end technical work from requirements through deployment and incident response.
• Profile and benchmark systems to improve throughput, latency, and resource efficiency.
• Assess security risks and design controls protecting transactions, data, and system integrity.
• Debug complex failures and drive durable root-cause fixes.
• Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, Security, and Developer Experience teams to translate requirements.
• Lead design and code reviews, mentor engineers, and set engineering standards.
