Job summary

ImagineX in Atlanta is seeking a Senior GoLang Developer to lead scalable backend services and contribute to modern React front-end applications. You will architect core platform components, optimize performance, and collaborate with product, DevOps, and engineering leadership.

This onsite role requires 5+ years of backend experience, 3+ years with Go, 2+ years with React.js, and strong skills in microservices, REST/gRPC/GraphQL, cloud platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with 3+ years of hands-on Go development.
• 2+ years of professional experience building React.js applications.
• Experience building microservices and distributed systems at scale.
• Proficiency with REST, gRPC, GraphQL, or event-driven architectures.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and messaging queues.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Ability to write clean, idiomatic Go code.
• Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday at the client's office in Midtown Atlanta.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Go.
• Build and maintain frontend components in React.js that integrate with Go APIs.
• Architect distributed systems and microservices for scalability and reliability.
• Define and document APIs (REST, gRPC, GraphQL) for internal and frontend use.
• Collaborate with product, DevOps, and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform code reviews and architectural guidance.
• Participate in sprint planning, testing, and CI/CD improvements.
• Engage with client stakeholders onsite to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
