Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Proficiency in Go (Golang) with experience in concurrency, error handling, testing, and performance tuning.
• Experience designing, building, and scaling backend services and APIs in a distributed microservices environment.
• Strong grounding in relational and/or NoSQL databases, caching, and event streaming.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Operational sensibilities: observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Track record of delivering multi-contributor projects on time within Agile/SCRUM contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, document, and operate high-quality production software with a focus on Go services and APIs.
• Own the technical design of medium-to-large features and drive them to completion.
• Break down ambiguous problems into well-scoped deliverables for the team.
• Lead design and architecture reviews; provide constructive feedback.
• Set coding standards for correctness, readability, testability, and safety.
• Mentor engineers and onboard new hires; serve as a technical point of contact.
• Participate in on-call rotations; drive incident response and blameless post-mortems.
• Improve reliability, performance, and cost; define and act on SLOs and metrics.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to shape roadmaps.
