Job summary

Two Six Technologies in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior Software Developer to build and maintain high-performance Go-based platforms within an Agile team. You will contribute to distributed systems, data pipelines, and backend services, while ensuring scalable architectures and secure operations.

You will engage in code reviews, optimize performance, and provide ongoing maintenance and support for mission-critical software.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years of Software Development experience or equivalent.
Strong proficiency in Go (Golang), including concurrent programming and microservices architecture.
Deep understanding of Distributed Systems with fault tolerance and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Strong proficiency with databases (relational like PostgreSQL, NoSQL like DynamoDB/Cassandra) and distributed caching (Redis).

Responsibilities

Implement complex platform architectures including distributed or decentralized topologies, data fabric, APIs, messaging, and containerization/orchestration.
Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, reusable, and concurrent code.
Troubleshoot and debug complex distributed systems, optimize performance and reduce latency.
Maintain and enhance existing data pipelines and backend systems.
Provide customer support for software systems and application issues.
Stay updated with industry trends to improve backend architecture.
