Job summary

Two Six Technologies in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior Software Developer to build and support Go-based, high‑performance platforms within an Agile team.

You will design and maintain distributed services, work with Kafka/RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Redis, and microservices, and participate in code reviews to ensure quality.

This role requires TS/SCI eligibility and offers a comprehensive compensation package with medical, dental, retirement benefits, and professional development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software Development experience or equivalent
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) including concurrent programming
• Deep understanding of Distributed Systems including fault-tolerant design and event-driven architectures
• Strong proficiency with databases including PostgreSQL, NoSQL like DynamoDB/Cassandra, and distributed caching like Redis

Responsibilities

• Implement complex platform architectures including distributed or decentralized topologies and APIs
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, reusable code
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance, latency, and database queries
• Provide maintenance and enhancements to data pipelines and backend systems
• Provide customer support for software systems and applications
• Stay up to date with industry trends and applying knowledge to improve backend architecture
