Job summary

LiveView Technologies in American Fork, Utah, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to build high-performance Go microservices powering the Agentic AI platform. You will own design, delivery, and operation of production-grade services, APIs, and orchestration layers, mentoring peers and ensuring code quality.

This onsite role requires strong Go, API design, Docker/Kubernetes, and distributed systems experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience shipping production-level microservices and APIs.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining backend services in Go, with concurrency and performance tuning.
• Experience building or integrating LLM-powered or agent-based systems, such as tool calling, workflow orchestration, or AI-enabled APIs.
• Hands-on experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs (OpenAPI), gRPC, and/or GraphQL.
• Familiarity with containerized workflows using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools, plus cloud-native/event-driven patterns.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL) and schema design optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to clean code, testing, and maintainable software.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship high-performance Go microservices and APIs that form the backbone of LVT's Agentic AI platform.
• Build and evolve the infrastructure that orchestrates agent workflows, including tool integration, state management, and event-driven processing of site data.
• Optimize service architecture, API latency, concurrency, and database query performance to support rapidly expanding platform scale.
• Partner with Product Management, QA, and DevOps to turn feature requirements into clear technical specifications, accurate estimates, and timely releases.
• Raise code quality through rigorous unit and integration testing, constructive code reviews, and thorough technical documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production defects through root-cause analysis, protecting uptime and data integrity.
• Mentor fellow engineers with practical technical guidance and feedback that strengthens the whole team.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and developer tooling to increase delivery speed and reliability.
