Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced Lead Go Language Developer to architect scalable backend systems and raise engineering quality. You will lead cross-functional teams, influence architectural choices, and improve testing practices while ensuring reliable service operations.

You will interact directly with customers, design and maintain backend services, and drive automated testing and code review processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct, applicable experience building Go applications.
• Experience guiding and overseeing development teams.
• Background architecting, deploying, and sustaining cloud-hosted web services (AWS preferred).
• Hands-on SQL and relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain backend services capable of handling scale and delivering strong performance.
• Interact with customers to address inquiries and needs.
• Develop and sustain testing frameworks for unit and automated test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold quality standards and share knowledge.
