Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr Staff Engineer for Guidance, Navigation & Control, located in Roy, UT or Manhattan Beach, CA, to lead complex GNC issues and coordinate with IPTs on resolution and flight test acceleration.

You will drive root-cause analyses, co-chair design reviews, and ensure MRB/FRB processes are executed with senior leadership in mind. A Top Secret clearance and extensive GNC experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Control Engineering or related STEM discipline.
• 14 years of related experience.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Active Top Secret Clearance, current and within scope.
• Minimum of 14 years in Guidance, Navigation & Controls or similar.
• Strong HW/SW flight systems background.
• Proficiency in MRB/FRB processes, JCCB packages, and MOC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Own GNC issues from identification through resolution and flight test acceleration.
• Lead root cause investigations with detailed resolution plans.
• Coordinate with multiple IPTs and secure approvals for schedule acceleration and risk reduction actions.
• Co-chair design reviews and manage MRBs/FRBs.
• Develop technical recommendations to influence schedule, cost, and performance.
