Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer - Guidance, Navigation, and Control to support current and upcoming missile programs in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on embedded software algorithms, flight software, and 6 Degrees-of-Freedom simulations within an integrated product team.

The position requires an engineering degree, 5+ years of experience in GNC/Modeling, proficiency in MATLAB/Python/C/C++, and the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance. This is an onsite role in Tucson.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM field; minimum 5 years relevant experience.
• GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling/Simulation experience.
• Experience with missile system applications in listed areas (control systems, dynamics, Kalman filter, Monte Carlo, etc).
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and/or Object-Oriented programming.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test embedded tactical missile flight code.
• Perform system-level performance studies to inform capability development or obsolescence addressed.
• Lead backlog creation and metrics in an Agile framework.
• Mentor engineers and train team members for efficient execution.
• Support missile performance analysis with model development and Monte Carlo simulations.
