Job summary

RTX is hiring a Sr. Systems Engineer - Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) in Tucson, AZ. You will help design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms for tactical missile systems. This onsite role requires collaboration within an integrated product team to achieve system performance goals.

Responsibilities include developing flight code, conducting performance analyses, and guiding junior engineers. A DoD Secret clearance is required, and U.S. citizenship is necessary.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• GNC, Signal Processing, or Modeling/Simulation experience.
• Experience with missile system applications and related domains.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and OO programming.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test embedded tactical missile flight code.
• Conduct system performance studies and analyses for new capabilities or obsolescence.
• Lead backlog creation and metrics within an agile framework.
• Mentor engineers and help train the team for efficient execution.
• Support missile performance analysis including model development and Monte Carlo assessments.
