Job summary

RTX's Effectors PG&C Center in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer – Guidance, Navigation, and Control to support the development of embedded software algorithms and integrated flight software for missile programs. This onsite role requires U.S.

citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. You will lead system studies, develop and test embedded flight code, and collaborate with an IPT to meet performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling/Simulation experience.
• Experience in missile system applications including at least one of: digital/modern control systems, dynamics, Kalman filter design, Monte Carlo analysis, simulation of physical systems, signal processing, verification/validation, system-level performance assessments, GPS/INS navigation systems, APNT systems.

Responsibilities

• Development, integration, and testing of embedded tactical missile flight code.
• Definition and execution of system-level performance studies and analyses to inform development and integration of new capabilities.
• Work within an agile framework to lead backlogs, plans, and metrics.
• Provide guidance to train and enable other engineers on the program.
• Support missile performance analysis including model development, system optimization, and Monte Carlo assessments.
