Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, is hiring a Sr. Systems Engineer - Guidance, Navigation, and Control in Tucson, AZ to design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms for missile programs.

You will collaborate in an integrated product team spanning flight software and simulations to meet performance goals. The role emphasizes system-level analyses, agile backlog leadership, and mentorship to engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in GNC, signal processing, or modeling/simulation.
• Experience with missile system applications and embedded software development.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Development, integration, and testing of embedded tactical missile flight code.
• Definition and execution of system level performance studies and analyses to inform new capabilities or obsolescence.
• Work within an agile framework to lead development of backlogs, plans, and metrics.
• Provide experience and guidance to help the program train new engineers and execute efficiently and effectively.
• Support missile performance analysis including model development, system optimization, and Monte Carlo assessments.
