Job summary

Amazon Prime Air seeks a Senior Systems Development Engineer to lead DO-178C requirements and verification for the DroneGuidance, Navigation & Controls team in Seattle. You will own the requirements lifecycle, define standards, and mentor the team while building simulation and analysis tools.

You have deep embedded software experience in C/C++ and a track record in systems engineering, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design, automation, deployment and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• 3+ years of DO-178C DAL C+ experience, authoring or reviewing lifecycle artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture of the requirements and verification lifecycle for GNC software, defining standards and processes.
• Lead development of High-Level and Low-Level Requirements with DO-178C objectives.
• Own software architecture documentation and interface specifications for GNC software components.
• Lead development of verification evidence, including test cases and procedures for DO-178C DAL C.
• Develop software tools in Python, MATLAB, or C/C++ to support simulation, test automation, and verification reporting.
• Identify and mitigate requirements and verification risks across the software lifecycle.
