Zusammenfassung

Heaviside Industries is seeking a seasoned GNC engineer to lead navigation and control system design for autonomous precision munitions. You will own guidance law development, design high-fidelity simulations, and drive verification through Monte Carlo analyses and hardware-in-the-loop testing.

You will collaborate with software teams to transition algorithms to real-time embedded flight code, mentor junior engineers, and work in challenging GPS-denied environments leveraging multi-sensor fusion

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of GNC engineering experience on missiles, munitions, military UAS, or spacecraft.
• End-to-end ownership of a GNC subsystem: design, simulation, implementation support, flight test, and iteration.
• Deep expertise in Kalman filtering and state estimation, including multi-sensor fusion for GPS-denied operation.
• Strong foundation in flight dynamics and 6-DOF simulation development.
• Experience with terminal guidance law design and Monte Carlo verification.

Aufgaben

• Architect and design guidance, navigation, and control systems for autonomous precision munitions in GPS-denied environments.
• Own guidance law development for terminal engagement: trajectory shaping and navigation strategies.
• Design and implement state estimation and navigation filters using inertial, RF, and vision data.
• Develop high-fidelity 6-DOF weapon simulations and Monte Carlo analyses to verify performance.
• Design flight control systems from linear analysis to nonlinear simulation and validate with hardware-in-the-loop and flight tests.
• Lead flight test data analysis and anomaly investigation; iterate GNC algorithms after tests.
• Collaborate with software engineers to port algorithms to real-time embedded flight code; mentor GNC engineers.
