Job summary

Peregrine Industries is seeking a hands-on GNC Engineer to own and mature flight-control systems for our Peregrine aircraft, including fixed-wing and VTOL platforms. You will work across control laws, state estimation, flight dynamics, simulation, autopilot software, sensors, and actuators to bring robust, field-tested capability to real aircraft.

You will collaborate with autonomy, embedded software, electrical, mechanical, and flight-test teams to rapidly improve Kestrel and future Peregrine

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical/Robotics or CS).
3+ years hands-on experience in GNC, flight controls or related aerospace discipline.
Strong fundamentals in control theory, state estimation, and aircraft dynamics.
Experience with real flying hardware and autopilot architectures (PX4/ArduPilot).
Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python; MATLAB/Simulink experience valued.

Responsibilities

Own and develop GNC capabilities for fixed-wing and VTOL Peregrine aircraft.
Design, implement, tune, and flight-validate attitude, rate, and trajectory control.
Develop state-estimation and sensor-fusion using IMU, GNSS, barometer, and more.
Integrate navigation with mission logic and perception with vehicle-control functions.
Support flight testing, data analysis, and problem tracing across hardware and software.
