Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a spacecraft systems engineer for GN&C to derive and develop subsystem requirements, perform analyses, and maintain budgets and performance metrics across interfaces with propulsion, structures, and dynamics teams.

You will conduct simulations and develop tools for verification, including hardware-in-the-loop and on-vehicle models, using Simulink and C/C++. Clear written and verbal communication and a passion for safe human spaceflight are essential.

Qualifications

  • BS in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering.
  • MS/PhD focused on GN&C requirements, interfaces, trades and analyses.
  • Experience modeling GN&C components and evaluating performance via simulation or tests.

Responsibilities

  • Derive and develop subsystem requirements, perform analyses and trades to validate requirements, and maintain subsystem specification, budgets and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with other subsystems and spacecraft systems engineers to support define subsystem boundaries and interfaces.
  • Develop simulations and tools necessary for verification of subsystem functionalities.
  • Support verification and testing, ensuring the subsystem complies to its requirements.
  • Developing and integrating multidisciplinary models for a multi-vehicle simulation using Simulink and C/C++.
