Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking early career engineers for roles across our business units. You will be matched with an engineering team based on your skillset and our current needs.

Responsibilities include design, analysis, and verification of GN&C software for spaceflight systems, with emphasis on reliability, performance, and cost reduction. Candidates should have a recent engineering degree and hands‑on experience in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in physics, aerospace, computer, electrical or mechanical engineering or other relevant field.
  • Degree earned within the last year and able to start by Fall 2027.
  • Designing and testing control systems for aerospace vehicles or subsystems.
  • Fundamental understanding of dynamics, orbital mechanics, estimation, and control theory.
  • Experience in GN&C algorithm development and analysis for aerospace or mobile robotics.
  • Strong MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ software/model development experience.
  • Internship/co-op or hands‑on experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Guide, navigation, controls, autonomy, avionics, simulation, mission design, trajectory optimization, system test and systems engineering.
  • Design, analyze, develop and verify GN&C software for spaceflight systems.
  • Enhance reliability, enable capabilities, and reduce operating cost of GN&C software.
  • Perform system analyses including simulations and Monte-Carlo to meet specs and drive architecture decisions.
  • Duties may vary based on business needs.
