Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems in Seal Beach, California is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Engineer to design, develop, and test advanced guidance algorithms for spacecraft, hypersonic platforms, and re-entry vehicles.

This onsite, 12-month contract role involves building high-fidelity simulations, integrating flight software (MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver rapid prototypes and flight-ready capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of related GN&C experience; advanced degrees acceptable.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Design GN&C algorithms for spacecraft, re-entry vehicles, and hypersonic platforms.
• Develop and maintain 6-DOF dynamics simulations and analysis tools.
• Implement GN&C software in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ and integrate with testbeds.
• Apply astrodynamics and trajectory optimization to mission concepts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document trade-offs.
• Identify inefficiencies and develop reusable automation tools.
