Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks an experienced GNC Engineer to design and test GN&C algorithms for advanced aerospace systems. The role requires working onsite in Seal Beach, CA and an active TS/SCI clearance.

You will develop 6-DOF simulations, integrate GN&C flight software in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++, and collaborate with engineering, software, avionics, and test teams to transition concepts from development to flight testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of GN&C experience in aerospace/defense programs.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/CS/Math/Physics or related field.
• Hands-on GN&C algorithm development—guidance/navigation/control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate GN&C algorithms for spacecraft/hypersonic vehicles.
• Develop high-fidelity 6-DOF vehicle dynamics simulations.
• Develop and integrate GN&C flight software using MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++.
• Apply flight mechanics and controls to trajectory design.
• Support system integration, testing, and anomaly resolution.
• Collaborate across systems, software, avionics and test teams.
