Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Senior GMS Application Software Development Engineer in the United States to design and implement software for Generation Management System applications.
You will work with customers to configure the applications to meet their requirements and improve system functionality, performance, and integration. You will collaborate with customer experts to develop robust test plans, provide training, and support proposals, while ensuring compliance with relevant
Qualifications
- Masters/PhD in Power Systems or CS
- 4–10 years in software development, debugging and performance tuning
- Proficiency with C/C++ and FORTRAN
- Strong background in numerical analysis and optimization
- Experience with power system modelling and operation
- Familiar with Agile development and backlog management
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software solutions for GMS applications
- Collaborate with customers to configure applications to meet requirements
- Develop robust workflow integrations between SCADA/EMS/GMS and other IT/OT systems
- Create and execute test plans with customers
- Provide training on GMS functions
- Support proposals and tendering teams with expert input
- Ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines
