Job summary

OrganaBio is seeking a Manufacturing Associate II, Cell Therapy to perform GMP aseptic cell culture activities in a newly formed San Diego facility. Responsibilities include media prep, cell thaws, expansions, harvesting, and cryopreservation within a regulated cleanroom environment.

The role requires familiarity with BPRs/SOPs, documentation of deviations, and ongoing training support. Candidates should have a strong GMP, cell biology background and teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cell biology or related field with 1+ years industry experience.
• Associate degree with 2+ years industry experience in biotech.
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique and GMP.
• Proficient in standard cell culture methods including counts and calculations.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform GMP aseptic cell culture activities.
• Prepare media, cell thaws, expansion, harvesting, and cryopreservation.
• Follow Batch Production Records (BPRs) and SOPs.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and product testing materials.
• Document deviations and report to management.
• Train staff and assist with SOP updates.
