Job summary

NexCaps Facilities is seeking a 2nd Shift Senior Manufacturing Mechanic in Riviera Beach, FL. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment in a GMP-regulated facility to ensure product quality, safety, and uninterrupted operations.

The Senior Mechanic will mentor junior staff, coordinate with engineering and QA teams, and drive continuous improvement in reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical or industrial maintenance within a GMP-regulated environment.
• Deep knowledge of cGMP standards, FDA regulations, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Leads preventive and corrective maintenance programs across manufacturing equipment, utilities, and support systems.
• Troubleshoots complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
• Reviews and approves maintenance documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Mentors and trains junior mechanics, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Coordinates with engineering, production, and quality teams to optimize equipment performance.
• Manages spare parts inventory and recommends strategic procurement.
• Serves as a key contact during audits and inspections, representing maintenance operations.
• Drives continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability, efficiency, and compliance.
