Job summary

Element Materials Technology in Concord, CA is seeking a Laboratory Equipment Manager to oversee maintenance, calibration, and qualification of lab equipment, utilities and facility systems to ensure GMP compliance and inspection readiness. The role manages preventive maintenance programs and vendor services while driving reliability.

You will coordinate calibration vendors, support investigations and change controls, and lead equipment improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in facilities, maintenance, engineering, or equipment management within a regulated environment.
• Preferably 2+ years’ experience supporting GMP laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, GMP and company requirements compliance.
• Manage HVAC, purified water, clean rooms and laboratory equipment.
• Oversee equipment calibration, preventative maintenance, repair, qualification activities and lifecycle management.
• Coordinate contractors, service providers, and calibration and validation vendors.
• Support investigations, deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and audit activities related to facilities and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO 17025 requirements, and internal quality standards.
• Lead facility and equipment improvement projects to enhance reliability, compliance and operational efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
