Job summary

Abbott in Princeton, NJ, is seeking a Senior Customs & Trade Compliance Analyst to lead import/export compliance for the site and ensure adherence to 19 CFR, 15 CFR, FDA, USDA and other U.S. regulations.

You will provide subject matter expertise, drive projects, and implement corrective actions with the Supervisor/Manager, leveraging robust regulatory knowledge to mitigate risk and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, logistics/transportation, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of customs compliance experience and/or international trade.
• Sound analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Corporate and Divisional policies.
• Lead site/division projects related to customs and trade compliance.
• Apply knowledge of import/export regulations to support business needs.
• Respond to Broker Requests for Information and ensure resolution.
• Design automation to increase efficiency and monitor compliance issues.
• Educate stakeholders on latest regulations (Customs, FDA, etc.).
• Interface with logistics, purchasing, and materials management on customs matters.
