Job summary

Abbott in Irving, TX seeks a Jr. Customs and Trade Compliance Analyst to provide technical and analytical support for site-level compliance with US regulations including 19 CFR, 15 CFR, FDA and USDA. The role may focus on import, export, or both, depending on the site/division.

The analyst will review records, classify goods, analyze data for risk and savings, and prepare reports for management while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years related experience in Export/Import Compliance (CBP, EAR, FTA, USMCA).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for compliance with Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures.
• Applies knowledge of import/export regulations to support business needs.
• Assist site/division Customs and Trade Compliance personnel with HTSUS/ECCN classifications.
• Conduct transactional review/audit of import/export records.
• Consolidate and analyze import/export data to identify risks or savings.
• Prepare reports and make management recommendations.
• Provide analytical support for customs information requests and post-entry disclosures.
• Ensure proper classification, valuation, and origin for imported/exported goods.
