Job summary

Haworth in Holland, Michigan is seeking a Senior Global Trade Compliance Specialist to lead global trade compliance efforts, partner with internal teams and international affiliates, and drive continuous improvement in customs and trade programs.

You will research regulations, manage tariff classifications, support CTPAT, and deliver training while staying current with regulatory changes and applying data analytics to improve risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in global trade compliance, international trade, customs compliance, import/export operations, or related.
• Unrestricted right to work in the US.
• Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree +2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education.
• Military Equivalency per site.

Responsibilities

• Act as Haworth's lead subject matter expert for global trade compliance and international trade requirements.
• Research and interpret U.S. and international trade regulations for stakeholders.
• Manage trade compliance programs including tariff classification and customs documentation.
• Oversee CTPAT program ownership, validations, and ongoing compliance.
• Collaborate with international affiliates and cross-functional teams.
• Lead compliance projects and process improvements.
• Conduct risk assessments and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver trade compliance training for staff.
• Stay updated on regulatory developments and translate into guidance.
• Utilize data analytics to enhance research, reporting, and monitoring.
