Job summary

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company driving export compliance across a global operation. The Senior International Trade Compliance Engineer, located in Costa Mesa, CA or Washington, DC, will set strategic direction for the jurisdiction and classification program, leveraging AI/data analytics to improve accuracy and speed while ensuring full regulatory adherence.

You will report to the Deputy Head of Trade within Anduril’s Legal Department and collaborate with engineering,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
10+ years in export classification or trade compliance.
Deep knowledge of EAR/ITAR with aerospace focus.
Eligibility for U.S. Top Secret clearance.
Proven ability to navigate complex regulatory factors.

Responsibilities

Drive consistent export classification processes across global operations.
Leverage AI and data analytics for jurisdiction/classification determinations.
Deploy and maintain J/C training curricula and methodologies.
Oversee J/C monitoring program and expand surveillance and reporting.
Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing to obtain information for accurate classifications.
Act as J/C SME and guide senior leaders on strategies to minimize restrictions.
Assist with responses to government, customers, suppliers, or partners on classifications.
Support investigations, audits, and other compliance initiatives.
Mentor junior team members on classification methodology.
