Anduril Industries is seeking an International Trade Compliance Director to lead global trade strategy, initiatives, and policies for dual‑use technology. You will bridge engineering, program management, and compliance to ensure alignment with US and international export controls.

This role requires strategic guidance on jurisdiction/classification decisions and export compliance, influencing MD positions and program outcomes on regulatory matters worldwide.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Understand engineering concepts across software & hardware to segregate commercial vs export controlled tech.
• +15 years navigating international trade regulations (e.g., Australia, EU, U.S., UK).
• +10 years in product development, defense technology, startups or defense contracting.
• +5 years in trade compliance and international trade controls.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Person for access to controlled information or facilities.
• A demonstrated ability to overcome regulatory obstacles.

Responsibilities

• Embed with program staff to develop and maintain export controls for dual‑use tech.
• Partner with leadership to translate trade compliance goals into action.
• Develop and implement trade compliance policies and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with external partners to align roadmaps with compliance posture.
• Drive export classification processes across global operations.
• Develop classification rationale and heuristics for efficiency and accuracy.
• Leverage AI for risk‑mitigated determinations.
• Maintain training curricula on ITAR, EAR and international regs.
• Oversee export authorizations and licensing conditions.
• Support hardware exports and controlled imports logistics.
• Lead cross‑functional programs and implement corrective actions.
