Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking a Sr. Import/Export Analyst to join our Global Trade Compliance team in the United States. You will support import/export compliance across multiple business units and regions, ensuring accurate product classifications and regulatory adherence.

You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, Finance, and Customer Support to enable business objectives while maintaining compliance. A strong background in HTS/ECCN, FTAs, and SAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, International Trade, Logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of import/export compliance or global trade operations.
• Strong HTS classification methodologies knowledge.
• Experience with ECCN classification, export licensing, and screening.
• Experience qualifying products under FTAs and trade programs.
• Experience handling customs inquiries, audits, and CF28/CF29 requests.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to audit trade transactions.
• Ability to interpret technical product information with engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage import and export trade compliance activities across units and regions.
• Perform product classifications using specs, drawings, BOMs, and docs.
• Qualify products under USMCA, KORUS, ILFTA, and other FTAs.
• Review shipments, broker requests, customs declarations to ensure compliance.
• Respond to trade compliance inquiries from stakeholders and providers.
• Conduct audits and data analytics to identify improvements and duty savings.
• Support customs inquiries, audits, and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain procedures and records in compliance with policies.
