Job summary

Kelly Science and Clinical FSP is seeking a Sr. Trade Analyst for a remote position supporting our pharmaceutical client.

The role is senior in scope and focuses on ensuring imports/exports comply with US Customs regulations and Merck GTC standards, collaborating with global teams, and guiding junior staff. The position requires strong analytical skills, expertise with SAP GTS or similar systems, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; candidates with relevant experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field; candidates without a degree should have 8+ years.
• Trade-related certificate or Customs Broker License preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of US Customs regulations and related experience.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
• Experience with global trade management systems like SAP GTS or other similar databases is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Partner with government agencies and external stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor junior analysts and provide strategic guidance.
• Execute Merck's (MRL) trade second person review (2PR) program; serve as escalation for 2PR issues and inquiries.
• Collaborate with the Trade Audit team; support internal import/export audits as needed.
• Gain experience in post-entry auditing.
• Support US Import Entry work center, including preparations and filings.
• Assist administration of multiple email boxes managed by US Trade Operations.
• Engage with MRL stakeholders through outreach activities.
• Identify opportunities for trade compliance process improvements within GCS and MRL.
• Contribute to maintenance and implementation of trade compliance SBPs, tools, and training.
