Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Global Trade professional to classify HTS and ECCN for our systems, spare parts, and products for import/export. You will audit classifications, maintain SAP/GTS data, and support regional customs audits and compliance programs.

In this role you’ll develop procedures, provide training, generate reports, and assist in root-cause analysis of trade issues. A strong knowledge of HTS/ECCN and GD&T is essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in U.S. HTS & ECCN classification.
• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Production, or Aeronautical engineering.
• Understanding of other jurisdictions HTS & ECCN classifications.
• Mechanical/Industrial Production experience; GD&T and drawing reading.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Strong data analysis and administrative skills.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiar with international trade, export/import terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform HTS & ECCN classification determinations of Applied Materials systems, spare parts, and other products for import and export.
• Audit HTS classifications and maintain company's master classification database & SAP/GTS for US and other different countries.
• Assist with regional Customs Audits, compliance program reviews & update procedures as pertinent to drive continues improvement.
• Assist in compliance data collection and record keeping
• Support compliance training and audit activities
• Generate and analyze compliance reports
• Participate in root cause analysis of international trade issues, recommend solutions to help implement corrective actions
• Supporting Customs inquiries related to classifications of products
• Other Projects as assigned by trade management
