Job summary

Penguin Solutions seeks a Senior Trade Compliance Analyst to join the global trade compliance team in the legal department. You will classify products, software, and technology and support import/export compliance by analyzing trade data and EAR/ITAR regulations, collaborating with multiple business units.

The role emphasizes data-driven analyses, regulatory interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure compliant business operations across global markets.

Qualifications

• Experience classifying ECCNs for semiconductors or tech-related products.
• Deep understanding of EAR/ITAR regulations and their implications.
• Experience with tariff mitigation strategies and duty drawback programs.
• Ability to detect and mitigate compliance risks and perform audits.
• Familiarity with HTS, origin determination, and supply chain security programs.

Responsibilities

• Determine and assign ECCNs for hardware, software, and technology offerings.
• Prepare data for export license applications, CCATS submissions, and license exceptions.
• Support analyses of EAR and ITAR regulations.
• Analyze tariff classifications, duty rates, and trade remedy measures.
• Help develop strategies to mitigate tariff impacts via duty drawback and FTAs.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders on import/export compliance questions.
