Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Sr. Global Supply Planner to manage end-to-end supply chain planning across manufacturing sites and distribution centers. You will partner with supply plants, finance, QA, distribution, and affiliates to balance demand with optimal inventory levels, ensuring continuous supply for patients.

The role requires strong analytical skills, SAP/JDA proficiency, and the ability to lead initiatives and coordinate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master level in operations, supply chain or business management is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication is required.
• Be a team player with a focus on improvement and a strong drive for results.

Responsibilities

• Daily contact with one or more supply plants (internal and external) to coordinate the supply of finished products, bulk, active pharmaceutical ingredients or supporting materials
• Support financial plan/LRP cycles by providing required data and input to long-term supply strategy
• Coordinate and process inbound and outbound shipments
• Ensure SAP and JDA are kept up to date with the latest information and that customers are informed timely of supply updates and risks
• Participate in plant meetings to review and improve performance
• Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations
• Drive continuous improvements and participate in initiatives led by other colleagues
• Offer innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities and to address challenges in the Global Supply Planner function
• Execute financial processes including hedging, inventory reserve review, and product scrapping
• Support artwork changes by coordinating related supply activity
• Create impact with ideas for the larger organization and anticipate and respond to changes
• Influence others when needed through use of SME knowledge and enterprise view
• Support S&OE process through root-cause analysis, problem solving, and creative thinking to drive resolution
• Onboard/train new employees
• Act as a project lead when required
