Job summary

Heron Power is seeking a Staff/Senior Staff Global Supply Manager to lead strategic sourcing for critical components powering Heron Link. You will collaborate with the Head of Supply Chain and cross-functional leaders to build a resilient supply base, manage product cost, and drive supplier performance.

Open to early to mid-career candidates with potential to scale responsibilities as the company grows. Expect travel domestically and internationally as projects demand.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in sourcing for high-volume manufacturing.
• Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• Deep category knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional workstreams with engineering, operations, finance, legal and NPI teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally often with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the category strategies for key components and assemblies.
• Achieve or exceed cost targets through data-driven should-cost modeling and negotiations.
• Lead RFx processes and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Manage risk with capacity, geopolitics, logistics, and supplier tech roadmaps.
• Drive supplier readiness across prototype to mass production builds.
• Develop logistics and warehousing strategy with factory operations.
• Escalate key supply, cost, and quality issues and implement corrective actions.
