Job summary

Westlake Chemical seeks a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist to develop and execute a global sourcing strategy for direct materials. You will work with business units to ensure supply continuity and optimize total delivered cost while negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.

You will lead cross-functional teams, analyze market conditions, and drive category cost reductions. A strong petrochemical background and data-driven approach are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, petroleum refining or petrochemical industries.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills with effective presentation ability.
• Extensive knowledge of petrochemical industries and related category spend.
• Ability to develop and execute strategy and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience with contract negotiations and supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes the strategic plan for sourcing, procurement and logistics of assigned Direct Raw Material categories.
• Lead RFx, negotiations, supplier sourcing and contract negotiations.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement category cost reduction strategies.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure supply continuity, quality and total delivered cost.
• Establish a preferred supply base and manage supplier scorecards/reviews for continuous improvement.
