General Motors is seeking a seasoned semiconductor purchasing professional to develop a robust supply chain and lead commodity strategies for our electronics and software needs. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive cross-functional alignment with engineering, legal, finance, and operations.
In this role, you will optimize procurement through RFQ management, P2P processes, and contingency planning, while partnering with executives to deliver value and resilience
The Role As a member of the GM semiconductor purchasing team, you will be part of developing a strong semiconductor supply chain to support our fast-growing electronics & software needs. Specifically, you will be responsible for a particular semicategory category and actively leading the development of commodity strategies, sourcing/negotiations, budget, and execution. You will manage relationships, collaborate with suppliers and internal key stakeholders including engineering, legal, finance, operations and drive cross-functional alignment. Work is of a complex nature involving a considerable amount of initiative, analytical work and a high level of independent judgment.
Compensation: The salary range for this role is $124,200 – 197,800. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
