Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an experienced Sr. Procurement Consultant to lead end-to-end category management for contingent labor and outsourced/technology services on a global scale.

You will work with a global team across the UK, APAC, and US, supporting a multi-hundred‑million-dollar category with emphasis on strategic sourcing and vendor management. The role requires 5+ years of procurement experience, advanced negotiation and collaboration skills, and proficiency with Beeline, Coupa, Workday,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Finance; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of procurement category management experience, especially contingent labor/professional services.
• Experience with vendor management systems (VMS Beeline) and MSPs.
• Understanding of procurement best practices and process improvements.
• Experience with labor/outsourcing contracts is a plus.
• Advanced negotiation, cross-functional collaboration, and executive communication skills.
• Proficiency with sourcing tools and ERP systems (Coupa, Workday, PeopleSoft, MS Office, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage contingent labor category and global procurement activities.
• Collaborate with technology partners to drive sourcing strategies.
• Lead RFx, eAuctions, and supplier evaluations.
• Negotiate SOWs and MSAs with vendors.
• Present opportunities to partners and leadership.
• Forecast and plan, and develop scalable contracts.
• Improve global policies, programs, and processes.
• Drive vendor performance and innovate through supplier ideas.
