Toast is seeking a Senior Privacy Program Manager to lead our global privacy program within the Legal & Compliance team. The role focuses on operationalizing privacy across US, Canada, and EMEA, with emphasis on automation and AI-driven processes.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years (or 8+ with a Master's) in privacy, strong knowledge of GDPR/CCPA, and proven PM skills. This hybrid role offers collaboration with product teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 8+ years with a Master's degree.
• 5+ years of relevant privacy experience in SaaS or tech.
• Strong knowledge of global privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA) and practical application.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and drive objectives in a collaborative, outcome-focused team.
• Ability to work with technical teams on data flows and system design.
• Excellent communication and project management skills; capable of balancing multiple priorities.
• A working knowledge of AI tools (Claude, Gemini) and willingness to use AI for privacy program mgmt.

Responsibilities

• Global Privacy Program Management across US, Canada, Europe, and other regions.
• DPA enablement: triage procurement queue and assess privacy risk with LLMS.
• Privacy rights processing automation and SOP development with teams and Ethyca.
• Privacy reviews: manage Jira queue and drive mitigations with product teams.
• Operational compliance, risk mitigation, DPIAs, and data governance collaboration.
• Develop and deliver privacy training; contribute to data classification lifecycle.
• Establish KPIs and regular leadership reporting; maintain internal privacy resources.
