Job summary

Visa is seeking a Staff Network Engineer to design, implement, and support complex LAN/WAN infrastructures across global environments. You will lead network projects, collaborate with security and engineering teams, and help deploy scalable, secure solutions that power payment systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; or 8+ years without advanced degree, or PhD.
• Experience designing, planning, documenting, and implementing LANs and WANs.
• Experience with cloud service provider ecosystems (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
• Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and common application protocols.
• Experience in high-availability networks in load-balanced, multi-tier environments.
• Experience leading global projects from development to implementation.
• Ability to write technical design and build documentation.
• Ability to communicate complex issues to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement, and provide ongoing support for complex network systems across extranet, commercial, and corporate environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems; serve as escalation point.
• Provide third-level technical support to network teams and clients for new solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, account managers, security, and network teams for requirements and oversight.
• Develop and maintain runbooks and design documentation for improvements.
• Assess and test evolving technologies for performance and cost benefits.
• Participate in change, incident, and problem management including root-cause analysis.
• Provide training and guidance to network teams and conduct internal briefings.
• Build relationships with global teams and third parties on network issues.
• Lead development, testing, and QA to ensure secure project delivery.
